As an active member of the worldwide Eclipse Foundation, BSI is dedicated to time and cost-efficient software development with the Java-compatible and SOA-conforming Eclipse Scout platform.

At the annual convention of the Eclipse community, the EclipseCon 2010 in Santa Clara, BSI presented the Eclipse Scout Project, which is now being further developed as an official Eclipse project.

The primary objective of Scout is to substantially reduce the development time needed for SOA and Java-conforming business software. The Scout framework includes an application model, a reference implementation, proven development functions and a comprehensive tool: the Scout SDK. Solutions developed with Scout are distinguished by cutting-edge technology as well as powerfully reduced project durations and costs.

Tens of thousand of users are profiting from the advantages of Scout through BSI products. 

To help Scout become even more successful, BSI made the Scout framework available to all developers and organizations worldwide as the Eclipse Project in 2010. At the same time, BSI is ensuring the advantages of globally driven open source development for its own customers: even more functionality, even greater efficiency and even greater future security.
